Ragdoll Archers is a physics-based archery game where stickman figures flop around like wet noodles while trying to put arrows through each other. It sounds simple. It isn't. Between managing your stamina, reading the arc on every shot, dodging incoming arrows, and keeping your ragdoll upright enough to actually aim, there's a surprising amount going on at once. The ragdoll physics aren't just a visual gimmick — they actively affect how you play, especially when you jump and your archer wobbles unpredictably on landing.
You control a stickman archer on a platform. Enemies spawn and attack from the sides. Your job is to aim your bow, account for arrow drop and distance, and take them out before they take you out. Each kill earns you skulls — the in-game currency — which you spend on upgrades between waves. Health drops, stamina runs low, and the enemies get progressively tougher, more armored, and better positioned. Occasionally a giant boss-type enemy shows up that soaks way more damage than the regulars and forces you to think about where you're putting your shots.
The upgrade loop is what keeps you in. Every skull you earn goes toward something that makes the next wave a bit more manageable, but the difficulty keeps pace with your upgrades so it never feels too easy. Unlocking a new arrow type mid-run and figuring out how to use it on the fly is consistently satisfying — especially when something like the magnet arrow or chainsaw arrow turns a wave you were struggling with into a cleanup operation. The two-player modes are genuinely fun too, particularly PvP where both players have the same stats and it comes down entirely to aim and timing. Made by Ericetto and first released in May 2023, it's one of the more polished physics archery games you'll find in a browser. Browse more Action Games on Playfry.
The basic controls are simple enough to figure out in the first 30 seconds. Getting consistently accurate with angled shots, managing stamina through longer waves, and knowing which upgrades to prioritize takes a few runs to work out.
In Single Player mode, click and hold the left mouse button to aim your bow — a trajectory line shows where the arrow will go. Release to shoot. The longer you hold, the more powerful the shot, but it drains stamina faster. Hit Space to jump. Your goal is to kill every enemy archer that spawns before they chip away your health to zero. Collect skulls from kills and spend them on upgrades in the pause menu or between rounds. In 2-player modes, Player 1 uses WASD to move and Left Shift to jump, Player 2 uses Arrow Keys and Right Shift.
Later waves mix armored enemies, mini-bosses, and multiple spawns happening simultaneously. At that point, positioning matters — staying near the center of the platform gives you shot angles in both directions, while being pushed to either edge limits your options. The 3-shot bow unlocked at medium skull counts is widely considered one of the best early-to-mid game weapons because it hits multiple targets per shot and doesn't drain stamina significantly more than a standard arrow.
